Doveridge Primary School

Dear Parents and Carers,

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the Doveridge Primary School website.

At Doveridge Primary School we aim to provide a caring, happy, safe and stimulating environment in which every child will fulfil their potential and be the best that they can be. We have worked hard to develop a cross-curricular cycle of topics which ensures that all our children enjoy a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum which supports them to achieve the highest standards and be responsible citizens. As part of this and the extended curriculum, we develop essential life skills such as forest schools, cooking, how to stay healthy, safe and be a positive member of the community.

Our school was reported as ‘Good’ in our last Ofsted inspection which took place in June 2022.  In addition, we are also very proud of our other achievements which include holding awards for Artsmark, Eco School and Sports Mark, as well as annually developing links with our partner inner city school to ensure that our pupils experience a range of opportunities to develop their understanding of the core British Values.

Our expectations for all our children are high in terms of effort, achievement and behaviour. Likewise, we believe that they should all have a voice and be informed, self-motivated and responsible citizens. As a result we have an Anti Bullying Alliance, School Council and Eco-Committee who are committed to identifying and supporting school improvement issues. We want all our children to leave the school with a sense of achievement, taking with them many happy memories and positive experiences.

If you require further information, visits to the school are warmly welcomed by appointment.
