Music
Music is taught by staff across the school on a weekly basis and the children experience a wide variety of musical genres and instruments. Mrs Evans is the Subject Lead for Music.
We use the Sparkyard Music scheme to teach the specific knowledge and skills of music and link the teaching of music to our varied topics which are taken from the national curriculum.
The children’s musical skills are enriched through music programmes provided by the Derbyshire Music Partnership such as singing, brass and woodwind lessons.
We sing as a school in weekly assemblies and at our Christmas, Easter and Harvest services.
We encourage our pupils to take instrumental tuition in school which is provided by Derbyshire Music Hub which includes piano, guitar & drums.
