The National Stone Centre
As a cross curricular link with KS2's science topic 'Rocks' and Class 4's 'Who let the Gods out?' book we took a trip to the National Stone Centre where the children took part in a range of learning experiences, from hunting for fossils of brachiopods to gem panning for their own semi-precious gems.
Year 5 & 6 First Aid Training
Year 5 & 6 completed their first aid course where they learnt about CPR, how to perform it and when. They also learnt about defibrillators, how to use them and practiced using the dummies. They then created posters with the 5 key steps for performing CPR:
