Class 1: Parent/Community Links

In Class 1 we like to make strong links with our parents and local community.

Our weekly ‘Secret Reader’ has been highly successful and all involved have really enjoyed being part of it.

We have an annual Pumpkin Carving Competition, which is judged by members of the community.

To maintain our strong links with the village and our community, in December, Class 1 made two fabric wreaths to decorate our school reindeers that we entered into the village Quizmas Trail competition and we all decorated a Christmas stocking which were displayed in the village church for this year’s WI Christmas Tree Festival.

In previous years, we have entered a number of the village Scarecrow competitions.
